渓谷入口の長潭橋から仙娥滝までの約４Ｋｍの渓谷は奇岩、珍石を無数につくっていて、ハイキングコースになっている。
河原にはでっかい岩が沢山あり、その中の幾つかには名前がついている。『オットセイ岩』『猿岩』『猫岩』などなかなか似ていて面白い。
昇仙峡自体は美しくて非常に好感が持てたがいかんせん土産売り場多く、興ざめした。
